Our Story
ComposeRx was co-founded by Dr. Molly Wanner and Kathryn Dickinson — two friends, both with sensitive skin. Dr. Wanner was struggling to find a mineral sunscreen for herself and her patients. Because of her own sensitive skin, Kathryn had founded Aillea, a marketplace dedicated to clean beauty. The two put their heads together and created ComposeRx — the advanced care sensitive skin deserves, rooted in science, guided by integrity, and made with purpose. After years of iteration, they launched their first products: a moisturizer and a zinc-based sunscreen for people with sensitive skin.

Harnesses Upwell Marine Technology, algae-based ingredients derived from a marine microalgae called Tisochrysis lutea. The algae is naturally rich in fucoxanthin, a carotenoid that absorbs blue light and delivers antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits.
